Luke McDermott, Jr.

Luke McDermott, Jr. has worked for McDermott Company & Associates since 1996, when he was a junior in high school. His official title with MCA is Controller. As Controller his main responsibilities are accounting, commissions and managing the data in the office. He also produces Employee Benefit Election Summaries, Cobra Pre-Notices and Cobra Election Notices along with Cobra Billing Notices for our COBRA clients, processing forms with the carriers, and assisting the agents with various office assignments. From September of 1999 to September of 2001 he served an LDS mission to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and speaks fluent Portuguese to this day. On May 16, 2003 he was married to his sweetheart Fernanda at the Salt Lake LDS Temple and on July 14, 2004 he became the proud father of twin boys. He graduated in December 2003 from LDS Business College with an Associates of Science Degree in Financial/Managerial Accounting. On May 31, 2008, Luke graduated from Westminster College with his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. Luke Jr. (or LJ as we call him in the office) is a proud member of the MCA team and is excited to be working full-time to better serve and assist our clients in any way that he can.

BreeAnn Fankhauser

BreeAnn Fankhauser is Luke's oldest daughter. She has worked with us at McDermott Company & Associates for 8 years. BreeAnn has developed a detailed working knowledge of the Insurance Industry. She serves as an administrative assistant for Richard Herd, but also does much more to facilitate the workflow in our office. She is one of Luke's customer service representatives as well and also handles the individual plans among many other duties.

BreeAnn takes pride in her service to our clients. When she tells a client she will get back with them, she does. BreeAnn tries her best to find people the best options she can for their insurance needs. She is a caring person and we are glad to have BreeAnn as a part of our team.

BreeAnn is 26 years old and has been married for two and a half years to Tyler Fankhauser. BreeAnn gave birth to a little boy Karson on June 19, 2008 and he is the light of her life. She is also the step-mother to a beautiful 4 year old girl named Kaili. Some of BreeAnn's hobbies include: Reading, cooking, movies, writing, being outdoors, working out, music, and spending time with her family and friends. She likes Italian food and homemade cookies. One day she hopes to write and publish at least one book. BreeAnn enjoys being part of the team here at MCA and is happy to help you in any way that she can!

Brandee Garoville

Bethanie Garrison

Bethanie Garrison is Luke's youngest daughter. She has worked with us at McDermott Company & Associates for 2 years. Bethanie has developed a detailed working knowledge of quoting systems with the different carriers that we use here at McDermott Company. She serves as our quoting specialist and runs the quotes for all of the agents. Bethanie also manages our mini webs that we offer as a service to our clients.

Bethanie also helps to maintain and update our products, forms and literature. She is great at organizing and keeping things up to date.

Bethanie is 22 years old and has been married for one and a half years to Johnny Garrison. Bethanie is a licensed cosmetologist and does hair on the side. She also teaches gymnastics on the weeknights. Some of Bethanie’s hobbies include: Watching movies, cooking, cheerleading, music, traveling,and spending time with her family and friends. Bethanie has learned a lot while working here at MCA and looks forward to learning many other new things in the future.

Ashley Shepard

Ashley Shepard is our receptionist at McDermott Company & Associates. She has worked with us for the past year. Ashley is a very polite, and fun person to have at our company. If someone is not available she always tries to reach out and help our clients in any way that she can. Ashley has helped make our electronic filing system happen, and she continues to work on the process of making sure everything is scanned into our system. Among other duties Ashley makes our New Hire Packets, orders office supplies for the company, and does anything that anyone needs help with.

Ashley is 21 years old graduated from Bingham High School in 2007. Some of Ashley's hobbies include: Traveling, snowboarding, going to concerts, working out, music, and just recently she signed up to sponsor a little girl who is an orphan in Ecuador. Ashley is always willing to help others and that shines through in her personality. She likes sushi and most all kinds of fruit. Ashley has been a great addition to our MCA team, and she hopes to continue to learn more about the insurance business and help our clients with any of their insurance needs.
